Saving/Completing the Note #

  • Saving a note leaves it as an incomplete note – if an attending or other provider opens and signs this note later THEIR NAME will appear as the author! You can always sign and edit notes later – this is preferred so your name is attached to the note
    • Some residents prefer to keep their notes saved so it appears as a yellow icon on the tracking board, and they can remember to go back to it later and sign it – which would turn the icon green
  • You should sign the note to the attending who first saw the patient with you, even if they have since signed out
Still stuck? How can we help?
